I brought a used SF turbo kit from someone on the board ,but i have a probem the guys send me lx down pipe but i have ex car. Do you think i can weld it on the dp to cat? There are 2 hole for the o2 senors on downpipe. i only need one one for header o2 and one for cat soo there left 1 on dp. Can i buy some bolts and plug it?

alright, this is what you do...i had this talk with samari when he bought the kit too....the manifold and downpipe will fit your car....but because honda decides to make the factory header and downpipes different on the dx/lx and the ex, it just makes things harder....what you do is install the kit....put your o2 sensor in the downpipe...both of them....drive with an open downpipe to an exhaust shop and then have them make you a custom exhaust from the downpipe back....that is all that you have to do....the only reason that SF makes 2 different downpipes is because the factory setup is different...but the manifold and turbo and downpipe will fit you car with no problem...clearance and everything....just install it and run to the exhaust shop...and they will take care of you....if you dont want to go that route, then the only other option that you have to to order a new downpipe from SF
which will take for ever, or purchase a dx/lx exhaust

Thanks jwcardy..
If i planning to go to this route, purchase a dx/lx exhaust, but i'm worry about smog test i having one on jan 2005. The thing is for ex people with turbo can pass because they have they cat on but lx it different. Any one here did a smog check with turbo lx? If i going to other route as get whole new custom exhaust m i going to keep my cat? Is there way i can customize the dp like cut some over there and there?

there is no way you will pass smog w/out a catalytic converter.

well, i live in louisiana, so i dont have to worry about smog tests...i dont even know how they do it...but what you can do is just have a catalytic converter installed inline on your exhaust....just have it installed right before muffler, like where to resinator is on your stock exhaust(not sure if ex has resinator...)
explain to me how the smog test works...how do they do it...if they just put a sniffer at your muffler, then i am pretty sure that you would pass if you installed a catalytic converter somewhere inline....
BUT DO NOT cut the downpipe or anything like that....

For smog test in cali, this is bring new smog test for them new stuff. I don't know how it actually work. I saw some people put a thingy like a long rode(sniffer) into your muffler and dyno it. They keep it around 3k rpm or less for coupe sec. They put some kind of laser thing like stobe light or something shoot into you engine bay some where. I think they stick some kind of connector into you ecu <--- not sure, i ssaw that when i bring my parents car to smog test, i didn't see a good look at it. Now they find anything wrong with car by doing all those thing even leaks.
Pretty much everything jw said.
You should have a midsection on your exhaust. It has the catalytic converter in it. All you need to do is drop that midsection out, pick up a new catalytic converter (or use the stock one), bring it to an exhaust shop and have them make you a new pipe with flanges and the cat in the midpipe. They can even bolt it in for you and you're good to go.

or
Or Can I just purchase another downpipe from Maxrev for D17 turbo, i think it should fit since it's made for the same motor. What do you think?
