what year SI, either way with the older si, 2000, the B16 will definitely get more power, same with the k20 in the 2002. The D17 is prolly the worst out of all of these.

turbo SI, if it's a 99-00.

the 03 SI has potential also, but it's ugly.

that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

if you're all about performance, Si no matter what year...

In taste though, I turbo'd my EX because to me it looks nicer when you tweak it lol

turbo EP3 (02-04 Si)

I have one. Stock BLOCK (not pistons) was built to handle 28psi SAFELY. Ask any honda tech or grab a service manual.

I'm runnin 10.5psi. I put 24,000mi on my turbo kit in the 9mos I had it - not a single problem EVER.

267WHP/215TQ
ran a 13.511 @ 103.76 @ 8psi (had a boost leak - silicone cuff was loose)

Goin to the track this friday at 10.5psi to see what she's got.

This is all with the cybernation kit on a stock engine, stock clutch and no lsd

Thats exactly what im talking about. Those numbers right there are enough. Try and get those numbers out of a D17, i have seen them, but thats pushin it. Thats prolly what, cybernation stage 1. Stage 2 would put you well over 300 whp. Theres the potential of the K20 if you really want it.

yup - stage I

I could TECHNICALLY run 12psi safely, but i would need a 15lb spring in the wastegate (instead of the 10lb spring) and would then NEED a boost controller to safely prevent spiking above 12psi

So their's still room left.

Oh, and cybernation's new Guardian computer should net me more ponies without changing anything but the computer when it's released and i upgrade.

The biggest downfall of a SC is you can't Intercool them. The greddy kit for the Si has an OPTIONAL IC Kit. The difference in WHP is 40-60 depending on other mods (like exhaust).

That's why in most cases a SC won't keep up psi for psi with the average turbo setup.

get a 99-00 Si..tuned right ive seen them pushing near 20psi on a stock block easy. They put down big numbers as well. Either way you're going to get power from boosting ANY motor, its just that the B16 and K20 will give bigger power with the same boost on a D17, plus they're stronger motors stock

Hop off him man, he was actually adding to the thread.

Those are some good numbers. Looks the k20 has a hell of a lot of potential.
