My compressor is still their just not hooked up. I'm gonna buy a different belt this summer though, so i can take out the compressor, places like NAPA sell belts in lengths, just have to find the right length, only real hurtle is getting one thats as wide as the RSX belt, 7 rung belts are rare.

Does yours making a squelling noise? Mines still there but not hooked either, and it makes this squelling noise. Does it have to be a 7 rung belt? what if i found like a 5 or 6 would that work?
Atl01 glad to see you got your car back, now whens my ride in it?
but another question, do you have to take the a/c out or is that just a personal preference, oh and atl i get many cars in the shop w/o the right belt just if you decide to go with the "wrong" one make sure its only 1 groove less then needed, if its 7 then only go to 6, i have seen them slip and eat up

Chrisman8995 , no you dont have to take it out, but i never ran the ac anyways so its not like im goin miss it, plus it save a little money in parts. Next time i see you well go for a spin.
I just left the AC compressor on there, I was going to get custom lines made for that later though.
I believe that this topic was covered over on Honda-tech.com. Try searching for it there, but I will tell you, I think someone discovered that there was a BMW with the perfect sized belt for just that setup. Or maybe is was without the AC and the PS, I dont know. But try there.
Since you arent going to use the AC, did you get a smaller radiator for the swap? I mean, it sounds like you are into saving weight, and the AC compressor doesnt really save you a huge amount of weight, so I was just curious on how far you were going with it. Initially with my swap, since I didnt have the AC lines and some company sent me the wrong radiator to use, I had to use an older civics radiator. It was one of those half the sized radiators that seriously is half the width of the one you pulled out of the civic, and the one you might of gotten for your swap. Might be something to look into. The cooling was just fine too, I never had a problem.

Well i did find a belt at a local napa auto parts, fits like a glove. i didnt take the compresser off the car, i just by-passed it with the shorter belt. As for the radiator, i just bought the Si one. And just so everyone knows, it not a K20A2 its an A3 out of a RSX. I bought the motor like two years ago when the RSX first came out. I found this one in a local junk yard with 9k miles on it and paid $1200 for the whole car. All though its not a type it still hauls *** for what it is. Its the hasport motor mounts that make it what it is, there is no wheel hop at ALL. These motor mounts are great. And plus I am allways on the look out for a cheap Type S motor or maybe even the type R. And now since my car has allready been modified for the K20 its pretty much a direct swap now.
Or you could just get the head off of a K20A2. I know someone that just put a K20A2 head on their Civic Si. You can also put the 6-speed on there if you want too. He got the Type S head for $700. Might be something to look into.
