Actually MSD has a independent ignition system that works with any OBD II 4 cylnder. It totally replaces the curent ignition system, down to the wires. It's pricy though, around 1,200 bucks after you get the coil, cumpter and all the sensors. It's a pain to install too since you have to mount the sensors, I think they're a knock sensor and crank sensor, not sure. But if the Emanange system works, use that then.
But anyway, I was just using it as an example, I haven't messed with my ignition and have no plans to, so I'm not up to date on that stuff... Sorry boosted, I'm going for the K20 swap in the fall.
