I never said my car was fast, nor do I tend to until it reaches 14's on a SOHC N/A. But what we are trying to say is:
1. What your trying to do is a very intricate swap.
2. It's never been done before.
3. It's a waste of money when you could have gotten a k20-k24 and been a lot better off.
As for the originality....fine u win on that one no doubt. But Originality is for shows, when it comes to the track, speed is all that matters.

Lets talk about your swap. Mounts, not that big of a deal. You can have the OEM mounts for the B16 welded in. But make sure you measure everything. I still don't know if you are going to have room for AC or PS. But hey you might. Wiring Harness, you going to have to wire the D17 and B16 harness together. Shouldn't be too bad. Axels, shouldn't be a problem. Shifter Linkage, you are going to have to drill a hold in the floor to run it under the car. Now for the big problem. ECU and the immbolizer, you will have to do one of two things. One, get the immbolizer by-passed or get a different key and cylinder. You more than likely going to need the B16 radiator and fan. But do post pics.
Or you will become the new Black99Vtec. ha.

You're right... HASPORT is going to make motor mounts for a swap that is ILLEGAL to do in the first place. In case you missed it slappy, you can't legally drop a B16a into the current 7th gen chassis. Since the last B16 production car was made in 2000, you can't put the engine into any chassis that was introduced after the model year 2000. Since your 7th gen civic chassis was not introduced until model year 2001.... the swap is illegal. Which by the way, these "shops" you say would do the work (other than your friend's shop) would be quick to point out and they would more than likely not do the swap. And HASPORT sure as HELL isn't going to make mounts for an illegal swap.
