Ok not what i was looking for. Let's try some constuctive critism. What other then the wiring it should't be that bad. Hasport is not going to have monuts or harnesses for another couple of months.

1. JDM B16A2.. no such thing.. that is USDM
2. Mounts and Wiring.. who is doing it?
3. What year is your "JDM B16A2" engine?
4. You say u are in the middle of the swap and u are also doing the Drag turbo kit but yet you say your future mods one of them is a DC header.. hmm interesting.. i would like to see how that works out.

Someone else take over from here i have a meeting at work so ill be back later

just so you know you cant swap an older motor into a new car, its illegal in most states, ( the motor has to be the same model year as the car or newer), and uhh, yeah id definitely do a k20 b4 i did a b16, but whatever i dont believe you anyway.

umm that youd swap an old technology motor and 5 speed into place of a d17 and not just do a k20, and in general that you are dumb enough to swap an older motor into a 2001-2004 car.

Cause all I hear is bad stuff from the i vtec
I didn't have 5,000 to by a k20
and i didn't want the weight of a k24, that thing would be a nose heavy pig, old technology it is the same engine that every single person with their 2000 civic si has. The d17 was a weak engine and it would cost more to have that thing built up polished, sleeved and then turbo to it's 8 maybe 9 psi, then it is to put an already stronger motor in with less miles then i have on my d17.

Good luck, dont really think you can put a B16 in a 7th gen. But what do I know. By the way a K20 will blow away a B16 mod for mod. And what bad things are there about a K20. So let me get this straight, you have no harnesses, no engine mounts, pretty much you aint got ****. Well I would have to say this aint gonna happen. Im putting a chevy 350 in my 7th gen. You said you dont have the money for a k20, but yet you have thew money to custom fab a B16 swap into a 7th gen. Gonna have to say

I admit the splicing is going to be the biggest pain but both the b16 and the d17 sit the same way in the car the k20 turns different so it sits different. The mechanic told me the custom mounts won't be a problem he deals with a machine shop that just did some for a different swap. How are you going to put a 350 in a 7th? Are you going to have more of a problem then i am.

Another thing, why would you buy a 7th gen to do a B16 swap. What a waste of money. Buy a 6th gen or older and save a buttload of money.

and the tranny?
and the motor mounts?
and the turbo?
and the custom exhaust?
and the wiring harness?
and the ecu?
and the labor?
am I missing anything?

And for the person who said it was illegal! lol
How many laws do we everday.
Drinking for those not of age did you do it thats illegal ut oh you broke a law.
Not fully stopping at a stop sign. opps there is another one.
Street racing ohhh thats a big one (they impound your car for that one in philly)
Now if you don't do any of the above your a pretty good citizen but don't tell me that you don't go above the speed limit. Cause if you don't then you shouldn't even be in here talking to me.

OK if you want to talk about doing the swap, what are you going to do about the shift linkage? They are totally different. Are you going to drill a hole in the floor?

FYI the new K-series motors are way better than the B-series. It will cost you more to install this B16 than it would for you to install a K20. Plus you can find K20A2s for $3500. And all the parts that are needed are pretty much out. And I've got the Clutch line you would need.

Of course people do those things. If a cop takes the time to pop your hood, you better believe he is going to take the time to run the VIN on the motor. So don't come bitching here when you get your car impounded.

i believe this has been done before, i remember someone posting info/pics of it in a black 7thgen. i think it was done in Taiwan. I remember this cause thats where i'm from.

This was like 2 years ago or something....been awhile.

So i guess it can be done....but good luck
