F-in site "too busy" lol

Thanks man.

I saw some D17s online so I may pick one up. Either that or a possible K20A3 swap and throw my T04 on that thing...

madwheel, seriously just replace your headgasket yourself or get help from a friend. You can do it yourself for 35 bucks(to buy headgasket).

Well, you should pick up new head bolts and a new intake manifold gasket as well, so you're looking closer to, around 100.

StreetLevelPerformance is on a distinguished road
ARP will make custom head bolts for you. You guys with head gasket problems need to torque your head down past OEM spec. Or just stop pushing the limits of your stock engine.

I agree totally. It's just a good idea to replace those other things after doing that job.

Like what? Pistons, rods? What else are you wanting to do right now?

I will never use arp's and here is why: A friend of mine has a y7 that he was using arp bolts on. We took the head off and several of the bolts twisted right off (as in broke off.) There's nothing wrong with oem bolts and I say stick to those. You don't have to push past the limits of your stock engine for things to go wrong, it happens. I never did and yet I still blew up a motor.
