not yet, still sitting in my room, lol. since its a estimated $400 install, i'm gonna have to wait to see how much my turbo install is gonna be first, it might be a week or two after my turbo is in until i get it installed. and i still need a donor torque converter, they are impossible to find! i really want a upgraded torque converter put in before a overhaul kit just because i think a TC would more of a difference.

hey i know a guy with an 2001 lx turbo automatic and he can run 0-60 in like 5 secs, thats about equivalent to running the 8th mile in 9 sec and the quarter in 14 flat. i can tell him to be a member of this site so he can show us all. thats all stock internals and no tranny cooler as he says

"In short, this Red Eagle clutch/Kolene steel combination will shorten clutch lock-up time, reduce heat due to slip, increase fatigue resistance, bolstering your transmission against the increased torque of your modified Honda power plant."
i dont think it is really supposed to improve shifts a great deal, its more meant to be a rebuild so it can handle more power. a torque converter is what you want if you want better shifts. a overhaul kit just takes the weak pieces of your AT and makes them stronger.

since my car is my one and only daily driver i'm setting the daily boost at 6psi, ok maybe 7psi
. what kinda cars would we be able to beat at that setting? when i break in my kit i'm going to race my friends WRX and for that i might set it at 9psi. we will be doing it from a roll, what do you think the outcome will be? "autos hold boost better than manuals" or so ive been told/felt
thats all i gotta say..the 14 flat auto civic could easily be true. I have a friend with a turbo auto Del Sol (95hp) and its running low 14s.
^18sec i think your tranny/TC will be fine at 6-7psi as long as you dont do burnouts like crazy because all the new torque

is it difficult to install an overhaul kit? or torque converter?
i was thinking about doing this one with a bunch of car friends, but I'm not sure how hard it is to remove the oem parts and replace them. I'd certainly like to learn though

it it very difficult cuz, an auto tranny is very complex, and every thing has to be installed very carefully and in the right order and place, if you don't you've just fugged up your transmission

"Theres on one thing I'm worried about. I dont want the car to slip or F up when I turbo it. The point of this thread is to see who has what and how their auto holds up while boosted, under cruising throttle and wide open."
^^exactly, any one have any news on their turbod civic, what i need to do in order to run 6-7psi. also, how hard is a TC install?

i'm about to buy a turbo, i'm gonna try different psi's till the tranny explodes, i'll let you know. lol.. j/k.. well, most likely i will. i know how i am, "hell, if it can do 6psi, it can do 7.. it can do 7, so it's gotta hold up at 8" etc. lol. if it does, oh well, just buy new ****.. no biggie. i'll try upgrading the tranny though. any #'s yet 18sec? or any word on the WRX race?

i was running 4 psi without tranny cooler first, and it already slip. AFter bring it up to 7psi, i put the tranny cooler and i thougth slip will be gone, but it's still there. Later, i started to feel tranny is getting worse and worse
Slippage
Auto tranny's slip into gears anyway. My tranny slips when I am going slow, because it is more noticable. When I am bookin, it grabs. My problems come from a/f ratio.....I think I need new plugs.

. Now the valve body is another story. I've never rebuilt a honda auto trans , but have done many others so i guess maybe it takes a few to become comfortable doing them. Here is what is listed on TCI.
