went by kms the other day and took pictures of the progress... going a bit slow but at least it may be finally almost finished =)
do you guys know what crank that is from? he wont tell me because it's "his secret" but i want to know. He showed me my old one and it was considerably smaller... I asked why he won't tell me and he said, "You paid me to make your car fast, not tell my secrets." hrmmm....

lol... its just a beefier crank from a diff honda/acura... i just wanna know if anyone knows what model it's from... the main weaklink in our cars is the bearing and by having a beefier crank, the bearing that can be used will hold way better than the stock one (which is what gave out on my other engine)

why are there such bigggg valve cuts in the pistons, did u look at stock, they are like 2mm, and u cant hardly see them unless ur lookin, so what the heck do u need that big of cuts, is that a block guard..........yuck IMO......ur letting someone put something that u have no idea what it is in ur engine, u better be scratching ur head, and tell him to tell u or F OFF
"my secret" my ****ing @ss. Not to be mean...but you seriously need to put more thought into this before you just throw your money away. I know every little tiny thing, dent, scratch (not that there is any) and component on my car. NOT KNOWING = NOT SMART
That looks like a KMS or Golden eagle block guard, not sleeves. Built head: 1000+ / Pistons/Rods: Under 1000 / Blockguard 100$ / Whatever crank he is runnin? / Headbolts: 100$ / Gaskets 50-100$ / Hottank, Machine, Labor: Dont know, it depends on where you go to get things done and what you actually get. Some people go the extra mile and get better internals and end up spending 5g's easily on a build.
I need TP for my bunghole

Maybe the crank is from the JDM 2.0 liter civic
scratch that the 2.0 is a k series motor
check it
http://www.ilovecivic.com/en/sporty/sporty_2.html
also you need to lay down the law your a paying customer who is intitled to know what they are paying for.
Request all receipts and learn what the part is that way.
Or threaten legal action.

I don't understand why you spend so much money building a 1.7 liter sohc engine....
Save your money and buy the truly proven engine K20....240 fwhp NA....with bolt-ons...that's a damn good road racing car right there....
building the d17 is a waste....
