Rep Power: 0 k20 premium again
ok fist thread blocked making me seem liek a dumass, does the k20 a3 form a rsx premium fit in the enigne bay because on the website hasport.com it says only the si k20a3 fits,a nd the rsx doesnt because of the intake manifold(k20 a 3!) so does anyone have an rsx premium in there car, not the k20 a2 type s i know that fits

Rep Power: 0 All the K series motors are basically the same. The K20A2 and A3 have the same dimensions as far as the block goes.
short answer yes, the A3 will fit no problem...but then you have to ask yourself, why spend this much money to do a motor swap, for a motor that isnt that great? Why not spend the extra bit of money, get another gear int he tranny, a higher redline, real VTEC, higher compression, more hp, and more torque?

you made a link to a website telling you it won't fit, yet your asking weather it will fit?
It won't, as hasport says the intake manifold is bigger on the RSX k20a3 then on the SI k20a3.
So your options are the k20a2 from the RSX-S or the k20a3 from the SI.
I'd highly recommend the k20a2

Rep Power: 0 forget the a2 tranny, just go ahead and throw the a3 in there and change the manifold. If you can get that for 1700 spend that extra grand on a NOSzle direct injection kit

Rep Power: 0 If my memory serves me correctly, they haven't added the new info to their site yet. The k20a2 swap into the SI was performed before the k20a2 was put into the coupes. YES they do make a kit to put any of the k20a motors in our cars and they are working on a kit for a k24. If you are looking for a reputable shop to install your motor, call Chuck at Evans Honda Specialist. Let him know that I sent you. They are a HAsport dealer and they know Hondas/Acuras. www.evansautomotive.net

Rep Power: 408 Si's K20a3 intake manifold is identical as k20a2 Rsx Type s.
Quote
1) The Civic's engine bay has the same dimensions as the Civic Si, not the RSX. For that reason the RSX base model engine's intake manifold will not clear the core support
Rsx base's intake manifold will not fit just like what Hasports said.
