Turbo Set Up

I have already searched about this kind of stuff, but i still need a couple of answers.
I am going to get the SF turbo kit with equall lenght manifold jet hot treated, alcohol injection, and a external wastegate. I wont get the BOV that the kit comes with i will buy the HKS SSQV BOV. I will also buy a apexi safc II turbo timer, Apex i AVC-R Boost Controller, Denso iridium IK22s, and boost, oil temp, and A/F ratio gauges. Is there anything else i should get to just run the turbo at 5-7 psi for now?

im thinkin (hopin) it was a typo but... the safc2 is not a turbo timer, just a fuel computer...

the original fuel upgrade from sf is enough for up to 12psi, more than what the stock motor can take.

at 5-7psi u wont even need alcohol. the switch is set for 6.5psi, but it's well suited for 9-10.

ya it was a typo, w/e the apexi turbo timer is called, and i wanna get the alcohol injection right now so that i can install it when i install the turbo. i wanna get the turbo before i work on anything visual on my car, rims, lowering it, body kit, sound system. after that i will slowly work on building my engine to turn up boost, but i might as well buy the stuff i need right now from SF.
When you buy the BOV on ebay, you can also buy the flange with it for an extra 40 bucks or so

Any reason you chose the AVC-R over the other electronic boost controllers?

I recommend Bosch Platinum+4's spark plugs. They are probably that best plugs out on the market.

I never really checked out the spark plugs, everyone always talks about the Denso iridium IK22s, but i will check out the bosch ones, and for the boost controller. GREDDY PROFEC E-01, I dont like the screen too much, the AVC-R is a little cheaper than the greedy too, and from what i read on the forums those are 2 of the better electronic boost controllers. I am not 100% sure on which one im gonna get, but I dont know if i want the E-01 with the screen, ill figure it out soon enough

you may want to look at the blitz sbc ID it's very nice, has all the features of the avc-r and profec e-01 and allows you to add another unit similar to the g-tech.
For a simpler boost controller which IMO is A better and Cheaper not to mention easier to work with I'd go with the Greddy profec b spec 2.
Just my .02 though.

If you're looking for the higher end features as I said look at the blitz or the profec e-01. The control solenoids on both units are better than those that A-pex uses.

right now i really dont need any high end features, but later on the road, probably a year or two i will need these features when i turn up the boost on my car, so i will keep that in mind when i buy my boost controller

yeah man time after time people tell me to stay away from the apexi boost controllers...they look sweet but spike too much...

blitz or greddy...

also, get iridium spark plugs, they are much better for turbo applications... if you want to save money do what i did and by ngk iridium ix's.

You won't be dissapointed with the profec b or e-01. It's all a matter of what you want out of your controller.
