Ok, so I am taking out my stock D17a2 out of my 2001 civic ex, I can't seem to figure out how you take out the steering mechanism. if you are not sure of what I am speaking of, its the thing that makes the wheels turn. I'm kinda stumped, so I turn to you guys! Thanks

i found the name for it, CV Axle. I need to remove it to get the engine out. I think i found out how to do it, I will work on it when i get to my friends garage. thanks Justin (anotherslo1.)
TO GET THE AXLeS out the tranny unbolt the rotor from the struts and use a flat head screw driver and just pull them out. they're not held in by anything.. they just slide in...
PS U DONT USE THEM TO STEER... u USE THEM TO go.
