custom pipes for the turbo
custom pipes for the turbo
i plan to get a sf turbo in a few months but right now im doing the exhaust. I am getting a TCS muffler with custom pipes and no cat (i live in a state where noone gives a f*ck about emissions). What size pipes should i get to be best for the turbo and should i go for the LX or EX header size?

wait just wait, i have a 2.5 inch, if ur trying to match that up to a stock header, its going to sound like someone stuck a behive in the exhuast, plus ull then have to change the flange to fit a downpipe

well if ur trying to make a ex header fit and have no CEL ull have to do some repositioning of the 02's, uh most places wont remove the stock lx cat in the first place, bc they can get fined, by the epa people, as for what u should do, how long til u get turbo, few being 2 or 5+, if its 2 just wait

this is correct, but if u get a exhaust now ur going to have to re do it a little bit in order to fit right
you want a exhaust right now
if u put a turbo application type exhaust on ur small pipe NA car, it will sound like the buzzzzzzzzzzzing bees

i'd go ahead and get the exhaust done...do u have a lx or ex? if you have an lx any shop would be able to make you a nice 2.5 inch exhaust setup without touching the cat...then just order the sf kit for the lx...catalyst has been using his kit with no cat for awhile and no cel's (from what i know, cat?..)

As soon as I leaned it out a little with the wideband, cel went away.
What tiny hole? You have to remember, you are replacing the entire exhaust system, totally. You're running a different manifold, a turbo and a new downpipe. If you upgrade exhaust, you can use a flange that fits your stock downpipe with whatever opening you want.

The end of the downpipe is not the stock size. It will seal into the stock exhaust, but is not the little 1 7/8" pipe. It just hooks to the stock exhaust LOCATION. So all cat backs and what not will still work, and you dont have to have any custom work done.
