potential out of sf turbo
just wondering how much power you could get out of the 3100 "stage 1" turbo, i saw the possible stage 2 could produce 450 so how much could the normal set up produce assuming the engines built etc, and second if i wanted 300 hp what internals would be needed and what kinda psi would i be running approximatly? i have an ex if that matters , sorry kinda newbie with turbos etc
thanks

if u want to run b/n 10 and 15 psi, u would need forged pistions at least and u are better off getting valves, springs and retainers. If u want to run over 15 psi, u should get ur blocked sleeved. Actually, sleeving it for 12-13 psi would be safer. You should also get a PnP head, intake mani with bored TB. 300HP is achievible, but u need to have a built bottom and top end, and u will prolly need to run about 15 psi to hit 300HP.

im gona be near 300WHP with stock intake mani, tb, and bottom end.. only 9-10psi... wait till spring..................... 5 psi = 185 to the wheels... im @ 9 now, about 225 to the wheels if not more with my mods... with my next few mods i will break 290 or so....

id rather just know what ur planning on doing secret or not, bc im not visualizing a 300whp on stock everything, at 9 psi, and maybe a PnP head, it may be possible, im not doubting u bc we've gone through the doubt stage before, but until it happens.......

Yes yes this is tru.
a turbo Pnp. he DOES of the underdrive pulley, and upgraded turbo and alcy, so I guess it's "possible" but unlikely. I would think the 270 you stated earlier would be slightly more accurate. either way, dyno it up!

yeah, i agree with madwheel and 2001Civic, u will prolly be around the 270 mark. I think that u will have to build that bottom end first and turn up the boost to hit 300hp......but please prove us wrong future. Be the first to do it.
