spray in first
ok i know that with the msd window switch you have to get chips for the desired rpm's in which you want to spray and stop spraying. My question though is, does the window switch allow you to choose different "windows" for different gears? I know of the venom system...and i'm not talking about different levels of nitrous at different points. I simply mean...can i program a switch to spray from 5000-6800 in first then from 3400-6800 in second, third and fourth??
second question thats kinda related. How do you think stock firestones with a lowered tire pressure would respond to a 50 shot @ 3400rpm?
How bout a 75 shot?
if money allows i'll be looking for a good set of rubbers that are street legal but will allow me to spray during first....do you think there are tires that are resonably inexpensive that would handle a 75 shot at 3400rpm in first gear?
ps... i'd probably launch at 2500rpm or so...so i'd think that by the time i reached 3400rpm in first my tires would be set enough so that they'd only chirp a little when the 75 shot hit....what do you think??

Do you have an auto? If so, get a torque converter to do all the work off the line. If you have a 5spd, just get your hands on some drag radials and launch the bioch and spray at 3000rpms in 2nd. Work on your launches and dont worry so much about spraying in first.

Yeah and any extra power on the firestones... forget it!!! Those things stink... 1000rpm launch, once the turbo spooled forget it. no 1st, no 2nd, and half of third was slippin, all at only 4.2psi so i dunno bro...
some better tires would help your time a lot too

Nah, i wont be using the stock firestones. Maybe Nitto drag radials, other possibilities include Toyo Proxes and Yoks Ao32R. At very least it will be on falken azenis.
So the general concensious is not to spray in first huh??? Even with drag rubber and a ACT stage 2 clutch AND a window switch.....what would be the harm? someone mentioned the rods...is that feasible to think that a 75 shot in first would cause rod failure??

THe MSD Window switch wont allow you to choose which gear to spray in.
You can technically spray in first.....just dont hit WOT until you have gained traction. Baby the gas and clutch till u gain traction then punch it and make sure you're a quick shifter. If you've got drag radials and a racing clutch you should be fine, especially on a mere 50 shot.
I've takin it to the track on a 75 shot....with the n2o hooked up to spray only at WOT, on drag radials and yes i sprayed in first. BUT...only after i gained traction. Hitting WOT anytime before that will leave you spinnin tires. Only difference about my set up was I was runnin a stock clutch. It started to slip, yes.....but this is after several months of spraying (often) a 50-75.
Did a compression test too....everything is fine.
