best turbo kit availavble
which is the best turbo setup and why?
I would like to see the similarites and differences
between Stafford Fabrications, Turbo Discounters extreme kit
and the 3rd company that just came out with the funky
manifold.
who outperforms the other?
Those of you with turbo's, have you upgraded your intake
manifold with the KMS manifold and have you installed a
block guard to lower the pistons compression?
I search but find no answers...hopefully some of you
experts can help me out.

this is getting OT already...

i don't think anyone has any REAL numbers for that new hp kit, i'm guessing that it's no where near the hp numbers that they provide on their ebay auctions cause that's just freakin' rediculous... 185whp at only 5 psi on a stock engine and no fuel supplement... very skeptical if you ask me... the only way we can finally prove once and for all which kit is the best is if we had a dyno shootout between all the kits all at the same place and the same time which won't happen considering some of these manufacturers aren't all based in the same state.... that would be kinda cool if all the companies did come out to the same dyno to do a dyno shootout...

well SF has the equal length manifold A+
TD...i have no idea about....riceburnr
the HP turbo...well it has good numbers at 5 psi, the next dyno attempt will be at 10 so lets see what that does
ALSO, a BLOCKGUARD DOES NOT LOWER COMPRESSION
pistons arent compression either, the sizing of them and the dish size is a component of getting to the compression ratio
blockguard and pistons dont interact, the block guard reinforces the cylinder wall

this thread is just gonna be a flaming contest since one person has the TD kit and Dirk21 has the other kit while everyone else has SF.

alright, i am bias to the SF kit, for obvious reasons, but
SF kit has.......
equal length mani as upgrade
track proven, dyno proven and customer proven results
customer care is excellent but many ppl are waiting on their parts for a long time
kits take awhile to be made since they are custom
small company which cares about the ppl and posts here regularly
the kit that dirk21 has
proven dyno results at 5psi
warranty
u have to relocate the battery
they are working with hondata to make a chip
no fuel system.......injects alot of alcohol
anybody else, chime in

it would nice to see dyno sheets next to each other and the 1/4 mile times
that both the turbos produce.
SF is the most popular and I definately would get the water alcahol injection,
but is there a gauge to let you know that your are running low?
I wouldn't want to run out and have the boost a at 8psi and run into detonation.

dont' quote me on this, cuz i have not installed it yet, but.......
there is no gauge to tell u it is low. U set it at what psi it injects at......so, lets say u are running at 8 psi and u set it to inject at 6psi then it will. You can use ur windshield washer bottle for the alcohol, so u can just regularly check that.

it depends on what psi u set it at to spray and how much u are at that psi.........if u have it set to inject at 6 psi and u are just cruising around town and then u wont' use it that much.

i think the reason the HP kit is making 185hp at 5psi, is that it is using alcohol injection from the start that could be the factor making it a bit better a 5 psi, unlike SF's kit where when you reach a certain psi (5-6 psi i think) thenk it uses the alcohol inyection, the HP kit has tu refill with methanol twice per tank of gas, while the SF kit does not

^^^ ur kinda right there sir.....but u set at what psi the alcohol injects.....and remember, not everybody has W/A injection
and yes, the hp kit has no fuel system.......it relies on alcohol injection to compensate for the lack of fuel.
