Question Turbo Chevy Colorado

I know this isnt a honda but I was wondering if you guys had any advice on turboing an '04 Chevy Colorado.
I want to trade in my Honda for one.
Its the replacement for the S10.

It has a 3.5L inline 5 cyclinder(yes, five) and I am trying to figure out how to turbo this thing.

I was thinking since I dont have a welder, I could have a shop weld everything up for me.

Is there a place where I can buy:

1. the metal flange that connects the turbo to the manifold.
2. the metal flange for the manifold to the head.
3. tubing for the manifold and the tube that goes from the intake to the turbo.

I would like to have to do a minimum of fabrication on my own part.

There is plenty of room down the for a huge turbo, and would like to have the block sleeved in the future to see what this baby can turn out.

Most importantly.....what turbo should I get?

How much would Arias charge to do some custom pistons?

Thanks a lot.....peace

depending on what the stock manifold looks like some people can make turbo manifolds from that

Volvo, still uses inline 5's, don't remember if it was in S40's or S70's, Audi also used the inline 5 configuration for a while....

What kind of turbo should I get?

I just want to get it on there and leave the boost low till I get afford to take it apart and prep it for high boost.

Its a 5 cyl. so I was just wondering what kind I need, because a 5 cyl. 3.5L is different than a little 1.7L 4.

It has Variable Valve Timing and DOHC so thats a plus.

I dont have the truck yet, but they are out. I was helping my cousin find a vehicle and they had one at the Chevy lot here in Houston, and I just want one bad.

It weights 2600 pounds so it should scoot with some boost and some tuning.

I heard it chirps third with the 170 HP 2.8L and a five speed.

So the 220HP 3.5L should be pretty bad ***.

If anyone hadnt seen seen it just go to http://www.chevrolet.com

and go to the Sport model.

My main concern is the manifold design.

The problem is the layout of five tubes coming together into one, without straving a cyclinder of flow or messing up the scavaging or whatever....

I need to know what size of piping to use for the primaries/secondaries, and how to accomplish a high performance design.

Any ideas welcome.

I keep drawing designs but I just cant come up with something that looks like it would work right. A log style might work, what do you guys think?

Heres what im talking about.

Would I be hindering the performance by using this design?

Am I forgetting anything?

BTW whoever asked...the Sport model is $19,900 or something like like.
