Burning Oil = Colder Plugs?
I notice that I am burning oil ... and probably lots of it. then again, I don't have a cat, so it is probably more noticable.
Anyway, I notice that there is quite a bit of white smoke coming out my exhaust ... would getting colder spark plugs help solve this problem at all? (ie. denso ik22's instead of ik20's ... which are currently on my car)

It is the turbo. Either the seals have not seated yet, or the seals are bad. We have had the turbos have bad seals right from the factory 2 times. One was a turbo on my car, and then another one on a customer car. If it doesnt stop in another day or so, then we will know that it was the turbo.

hmm ... I'll ask my friends in a couple days ...
my friends told me that it was a lot of white smoke (although I couldn't see it in my rear view mirror) ... I COULD sometimes see it when I make a quick stop though ... I smell it a lot too T_T;;
yeah ... they said "yeah, it was beyond noticable" -_-;;

today, I found out that I have a small oil leak ... I don't know where it is from ...
my boost controller isn't working properly ... it's greddy profec e-01 and apparently nobody has it either ... I can only hit 2.5-3.5 psi at most ...
I have a shitload of white smoke coming out of my tail pipe whenever I tap on the gas ... it is VERY noticable ...

White smoke is coolant in the combustion chamber. You might have a head gasket leak. Drain the oil into a pan and check for a milky consistency. This would make you burn more oil as well...
Oil burning is bluish-white smoke, but you can DEFINITELY (sp?) smell it. Coolant burning has little smell to it.....
Oh, and colder plugs won't help a bit....

I had white smoke way before I hit even 4 psi ... I dunno ... I really doubt I have a head gasket leak ...
but yeah ... I can DEFINITELY smell oil burning ... (seeing as how I don't have a cat) ... other ppl have said the same

yep ... I got a new turbo installed and it doesn't smoke ... thank goodness ... although now I have a whole new set of problems ... T_T;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ;;;
Just as a reference for everybody as stated before:
White smoke = coolant will have a sweet smell.
Blue smoke = oil smells like burning oil of course
Black smoke = rich tune if you're overly rich it could build up in your exhaust somewhere but less likely with these cars unless you're running pig rich and then you're car's going to run horribly anyway
