alright, this is the deal....i own a '01 civic lx and it is patheticly slow....selling my car and buying a faster one is a problem because of insurance, so i want a faster engine. i have been looking at b16a sir2, b18c, and even h22a even though ive never heard of an h22 goin into a little civic. the point is my car is slow, and an engine swap is the best way to make it faster......which engine im gettin is something i need help deciding

none of those will fit without some serious cash, plus they will all be illegal because the engine is older than the car, only swap are K series engines.

Your best bet is the K20 from a type-S RSX. The price is still falling as supply catches up with demand. Be patient and it will soon be a great deal. Possibly beating a turbo's price to performance ratio.

b16 illegal plus no mounts
b18 leagal only if engine is out of an '01 and you have an '01 so that fine, but once again...no b series mounts
h22 illeagal plus probably too big
k20 best bet
k24 w/ k20a head better than k20, but hard to get just k24 bottom end and k20 head.
