Hi everyone first off im new to this site, and this question is for my friends car not mine, he has a 2003 civic ex vtech automatic "i know i hate autos also" and he just bought a complete greddy turbo kit for his car for about 1,500.00 "must be nice to have money" does anyone know what the engine number for this car is, i mean the model number? also do you think the manifold the kit comes with will fit this engine?, it says it fits all d series engines, and i think the 03 is a d17 but thats just a guess.. and one last thing please anyone with any advice to basics like what does he need, guages, fuel injectors, cpu chips, anything can u please tell me what we gotta get. oh yeah, i feel like an idiot but will the turbo make the car run like crap like idle really bad, and stall alot, and do u really feel a power difference??

I didnt think greddy made a turbo kit for these cars. But i can guarentee that if it says "Fits all D series engines", it WILL NOT fit our car. The EX has a D17.

Just have him buy my kit. Im sure he will be happy.

With the turbo kit i sell, the car runs completely normal. The car feels just like a factory turbo car. And to answer your question about "will it make more power"...... I ran a 13.6 1/4 mile, completely stock engine, only my base turbo kit and the alcohol injection running 9 psi.

Greddy doesnt make a kit for the 2001 civic. If he has the ex its d17a2.

You should tell your friend to research before spending money and investing in a turbo. There is alot of information that goes into doing this. you can just go buy a turbo, slap it on and be cool. RESEARCH.

On the ex rscivic made 183 whp and 189 ft/lbs on 8 psi

as soon as ur frend is finish with his project on the GReddy turbo.. on the AUTO ex 03. let me know cuz i have the exact same car and was thinkin about puttin a turbo into my car. n yes, mine is auto too. i never knew they bothered makin turbo for the auto applications.
