i don't have turbo, someday maybe.....
i am interested in the PCV under the air plentum.(manifold)
does anyone know the size of hose this is?
i got some gp2000a's, and i need to build a bypass/turough-way for it, but all the DIY's for turbo i've looked at, don't mention the PCV. i thought you needed this for turbo somthing.
any way, i'm looking for the size of hose on PCV.
please let me know turbo guys!!
thanks

I bought a K&N over sized breather for my PCV Valve. I still had to use a chunk of use to extend it though because the breather doesn't clear if directly mounted. Sorry I don't know if that helps or not but the larger breather from K&N has the correct size.

i don't think you are refuring to the correct pipe. the pcv is under the intake manifold. the one you put a breather on is a heater hose. it is also used to lube the throttle plate. by removing it, and putting a breather on, you have just shortened the life of your throttle body. good job. i never understood why people put those things on their cars.......

humm.....i think that was true on the 5th and 6th gen, but i think that hose just became a heater hose. and it does lubercate. i've been told that the PCV is located below the intake manifold.....that's why i was asking people with turbo to help me....
turboed owners most-likely know where the PCV is, and the size of the tubeing.....

ok genius.. heres some words from the know it all.....
its a crankcase vent.... not a throttle body luber... lmao .. thats sum pretty funny ****... but its
PCV IS located under the intake manifold, you cant miss it... and well theres only one of us on the site with an oil catch can connected to it.
if you wanna know the size... jack the car up LAZY.. and pull the F****ing Hose off.
man thats like asking if we know the width of the trunk.... i mean sure someone knows... but why cant u just go measure it ? LAZY.

i just wanted to add something. the act of letting crank case fumes vent to the atmosphere is illegal. the was because in old car that were parked on say the beach under the sun, the cabin would fill up w/ the fumes from what i'm told.

when you get a turbo DO NOT HOOK THAT INTO THE INTERCOOLER PIPES!!!! you can re-rout it to the intake pipe TO the turbo, but if you hook it to the intercooler pipes, you will have oil all over your engine bay every time you go into boost.
Just to give you an idea, try taking the valve cover off your car and drive it around for 10 mins.

I have my PCV valve hooked to an oil catch can. And the PCV breather hooked up to a K&N breather filter. The size of the hose at the actual PCV valve (below the intake manifold) is about 1/2" ID and it redirects the gases to the intake on mine.
