What is the best all around (performance, longest lasting, for the price) turbo kit for our cars? I know there are prolly bout 4 different companies (SF, Turbo discounters..etc) that make turbo kits for our car...which one do ya'll think are the best?

personally i would go with the sf kit. i read alot of bad side of td and max rev kit. this is just my opinion. do a search and read up post topic about them, you can read about sf kit alot, it goes into detail and plus cat has a installation post you can read. im not trying to put other turbo kit that are out there down, but the only kit that survive throughout this site is the sf. though i do not have one yet, but will be purchasing one near future soon. seems to me that sf rep of this site is pretty good, all the mike(s) always have an answer to consumer who has, dealing, troubleshooting with some type of problem.

oh, i do not know sf or even related some how to take his side. i just think the overall production of this turbo kit is awesome. go sf!!

SF works great for me... eASY install.. EASY tuning... all around great... and i push it!... my times hold up how good it is.. and that was on CRAP tires... going again soon with something nice.. i need to do more than just spin in 1st and 2nd....... 2.4 60' aint gonna cut it!

the basic gives the EX about 178whp. You can also get some upgrade to it (upgraded turbo, equal-length manifold, and alcohol injection) which raises it to about 230whp on the EX. 10hp less for each of those on the LX. Thats about 190 and 250 at the crank, respectively.

it doesnt have a website. PM Catalyst about it or e-mail SF at staffordfabrication@yahoo.com . Also search for "turbo kit" and on the second page will be a page all about the SF turbo. It has about 376 replies, and you'll get all the info you need by reading that. Takes about an hour, but is well worth it.

how much does the SF turbo kit cost? wut does it come with? at turbodicounters.com you can get a Garrett Superior Turbo that comes with piping and an intercooler for about 3200 is that a good deal? is this turbo better than the SF?

that kit is crap, or so ive heard a LOT of people say. Theres a thread somewhere around here about a guy who bought that kit...and nothing fit, and the stuff that did fit was crap. The SF kit is custom made for the civic by Stafford Fabrications in CA. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...ight=turbo+kit <that is the link for the SF turbo kit I was talking about. It costs $3100 base. That includes piping, a t3 turbo, intercooler, a REALLY GOOD fuel system (not just more injectors like the turbodiscounters), a bov, and some other stuff...The list is in the first post of the thread. Then an upgraded turbo (faster spoolup, higher boost levels) is another $100, an equal-length exhaust manifold is another $100, and an alcohol injection system is another $100 (lets you run up to 11psi )

on the lx...will NOT pass emissions. You have to remove the catalytic converter to install the turbo. You can just take off the kit (1-2 hours to get everything off you need) for inspection.

im going to have to go with negative on that one the cat on the lx is right where the turbo goes so unless u put a cat in the exhaust most dont come with them
