k20 type r swap

i was just wondering if i should do a k20 type r swap?!?! and just wondering if it would pass smog test in califorina?!? I mean it will pass on physical dyno but how about when they look at the motor?!?!

it probablly wouldnt pass smog tests...and i dont know about the examinations.. if you wanna do a swap that will pass smog tests, get the k20a2(rsx type-s), its in the US already, so it shouldnt be a problem passing it

When the engine is sent from over seas, it comes with the sticker, "Use for off road use only". It will most likely not pass emissions. You can do it if you are not going to drive it on public roads.

you can do it, but you would have to pay someone $250 to make it pass smog if you know what i mean. Im not sayin that you should, but thats just an option...and probably your only one too if you get the R motor. Just get the S motor, you will be happy with it.
