Random Tech doesn't fit...

Just incase any of you LX/DX people were planning on adding the Random Technology Hi Flow Cat/Downpipe to your turbo setup (if you like flowers and animals and ****), it doesn't fit. I have a downpipe on my turbo made for the EX. The Random Tech. bolts up perfectly, but the cat doesn't clear the sway bar. Mine is modified to fit now... but I'm just pointing out that you can't just bolt it up. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only few who converted to a EX exhaust system. But I'm just putting the info out there.

How did I convert the system... or how did it get modified to fit? I don't know how they modified it... because I haven't seen it. I just know that they modified it. I believe it required some cutting and welding though. I'll let you know later on.

At the very least... it bolts up to the EX. I still don't know about the swaybar issue though.

reason why it fits ex and not lx/dx is cause the sway bars are different.. the ex one has more of a bend towards the frame of the car thus alllowing more clearance... reason being cause the OEM cat was there in the first place.. but since on the LX/DX has the cat imerged into the header... there was no need for more clearance... dumb honda couldnt just have one sway bar the same on all the cars? i guess they like to waste money and **** us off

Get the new progress front sway bar if you have the LX, they redesigned it so it clears the cat on the EX.... I would imagine the random tech cat should clear the progress sway bar. I'm gunna install both pretty soon, so I'll find out one way or another....
