Gauges:
I have Exhaust Gas Temperature (Pyrometer), Oil Pressure, Air/Fuel, Fuel Pressure
I also picked up a turbo timer and an electronic boost controller. None of this is necessarry but it could make the difference between blowing the motor.

you DEFINETELY need a boost gauge... NOTHING more important than that... even with a boost controller you need one IMO... i also have air/fuel, turbo timer, and i might get a few more, but when i set it up i know i will do right, so thats enough for now... spend the other money on the clutch you will need.. just put in my ACT 6 puck today with the 11lb flywheel...... yup yup.. oh yeah.. and i got racing tranny fluid.. a MUST... feels SOOOO much better

I got alot of my gauges from summit.
The a/f gauges are very inaccurate, however if you go to gadgetseller, you can find ones that are modified to be much more accurate than one you can buy anywhere else. They can also modify gauges you already have for you. They're a great shop.

whats th difference between "full sweep electrial" and "mechanical"? elerticals are like $200+ while mechanics are around $60+. they're more accurate?

Your gauges are electronic in your car. The difference is...an electronic oil gauge uses wiring to detect oil pressure whereas mechanical actually routes oil directly to the gauge. I say go electrical.

summitracing.com and ebay are the cheapest places to get guages...summit sells them for only 5% over cost. my third choice is optauto.com

Boost, EGT, and fuel pressure gauges are the most important gauges I'd say. And you would probably want to get something like the VAFC-II for tuning.
