Okay so you SF guys have proven that you can make our engines delivery large amounts of power with a turbo. I am incredibly impressed, has this been done to a D16? Because 12 seconds on a D series with less than 6 grand in upgrades is pretty impressive, infact it defeats the purpose of ever getting a motor swap done. But my question is, what is going to break once you reach the 12 second club? I mean, obviously there is more than just internals that are taking a beating. Isent there?

i cant wait to get one ofthose head gaskets... wonder how much they will run when they come out..... DAMN catalyst... lowering it .5-1 full point you are at like 8.5:1 or so.... MAN,,, I KNOW youre gonna bring it out at 12 psi or so now.....

oh... and no offense to the dodge guys cause that is a FAST srt-4... but a 12.4 with a 75 shot? catalyst puts that on there and he's in the 11's in my eyes.. and probably with less boost... (12psi or so)...

He's only running tht time because of the nx system. With out it, he's running somewhere in the 13's. So civics are catching up.

When you get into the 12's you have to worry about breaking axels, trannys, and things of that nature. I am doing this to prove a point. and that point is people dont need engine swaps to make these cars fast. hell, you dont even need vtec to make these cars fast.

We have made d16's dip into the 12's. Hell, dave hickman drives an 89 crx hf with a D16 in it. His car is completely N/A. no turbos, no supercharger, no nitrous. And on pump gas, he runs 12's all day long. It isnt even a vtec motor.

12.9 without the shot, actually. they only had two runs, one with nitrous, one without, and they only sprayed in third and fourth.

Actually I hit 12's many times without nitrous. Because I don't post every run I make doesn't mean I need nitrous to hit 12's

You also have to factor in weight, I run my car full interior and all, 3200lbs with driver. Vic's are what in the 2400-2500lb with driver. Big weight difference.

So please before you post again make an educated post before assuming what I need to run 12's and 11's

well.. we'll just see how long the car lasts... LMAO... but i think if you squeeze 75 shot into 2 gears... you should come up more than .5 faster... i know its harder and harder in the 12's... but seems more like you would hit a 12.3 or so... not crapin on your car, just the manufacturer... i know ALL TOO WELL what youre in for with it...

There all waiting for it to break. I frankly don't care how many times people post it. The car has been built right and tuned. If I break it, its because I tried pushing 500whp out of a stock motor.

Were at almost 400 now with more upgrades coming soon.

I took my car apart about 3 weeks ago, because i damaged the head gasket while testing some of the prototype upgrades. So i am replaceing the head gasket, and porting the head. Hopefully i will have more 1/4 mile times soon.

How close are you to the philadelphia area? Looks like i'll be heading down there to live and although I don't know anything about the kit I'd love to come watch and help in any way I can. Let me know. You can PM me or email.

What happened to trying to break into the 12's this weekend? Were you able to get to the track at all?

just dont use a block guard the chances of it heating up and warping the cylinder walls is greater, i have a friend that did that to his 99 si and had to buy a block within 2 weeks.

that is why block guard should be drilled and installed properly.
