buying motors

where is a good place to buy a k20 or k24. is it worth buying new or do you have to deal with smog laws.

Hasport makes a kit for the K20's. I think Hasport might be in the process of making a kit for the K24 but as of now there is none. A shop could probably do a custom install but that would be expensive. Ask Htown about that.

The K24 kit will be out before the end of summer. The passenger side mount is slightly different.

I would have to agree with 2k187. the jdm spec k20 from rsx type r is what I'm working on putting in my 01 lx coupe. but it switches out to a 6 speed gear box i belive. Check out this months import racer mag they outline the whole swap all the way down to swaping out the subfram for one off an rsx

Yea, but instead you can drop in a new engine, build it, and run 12-20 psi and run high 11s, low 12s.
