dh-racing parts

hey guys, i've decided to go n/a ... seems like a logical choice w/ a budget and for the long run. i was just wondering if any of you guys have purchased any dh-racing parts. i was thinking about getting the bored tb/manifold combo along w/ the dual groove crank pulley. any feedback on dh?

I have the dual groove pulley already, and the PnP head work on the way. That's all I'm gonna get from them, since I've heard the bored tb/combo loses the cruise control. A member is gonna help me with the install in Chicago, and then I'm getting it tuned with a VAFCII. I'll definately be posting the results when everything is on.

well, i dont relly mind losing cruise control 'cuz i never use it. i've also heard that its bad to use it when you have manual, but i could be wrong. are all their items worth the price? i mean, the pulley is a sure thing, but how about the manifold/tb/pNp head.

I haven't heard of any real results posted yet from the pulley.
Only people with the turbo's claim that it is a 20hp gain but no one has dynoed it.

seeing other pullies and their gains are about 2WHP. You would gain 5WHP just by removing your power steering belt.

It is tougher to make turns at slower speeds.

Other options that have given me a proven gain with bolt ons is JETChip upgrade.

VAFCII you should have your car tuned by an Apexi pro on a dyno to get its full results. I seen others at the track with the VAFCII run slower than me with just the bare bolt ons.

^^^ hehe, funny to see a guy from cali in here.

i dont know if i'd get the pulley also. like kjkracing said, no one has even dynoed the pulley yet, and most people that do have it also have a turbo.

beside that, someone that did get the pulley said that the alternator now puts out less voltage than before. so, you run the risk of killing your battery if i'm not mistaken, especially if you have or are gonna get a system.

Someone already has the ported head installed and says there is noticable gain. I'm hoping for the same. Pulley is starting to look like it will have problems.
