Want to Know

anyone know the cheapest and best place to get a custom piping job around here (2.25" would be great)? I might settle with the full cat magnaflow on GB...but i've heard some custom piping and a good muffler and they sound decent. They're much cheaper than buying the fullcat right?

in san rafel, go to johnny franklin..thats where oakleyoverthetop got his duals done...and i got mine fixed there (the original place messed up and my rear section was hitting my rear axle/sway bar) for 45 bucks...i dont think it should be too much..maybe 120 at the most? give em a call. peace

and yes..it is ALOT cheaper than buying a full cat system..and if done right, its tha same! i got no complaints on mine

well, imho, i think it is just the name that people buy...but the difference between a full cat back system, and custom piping, is mainly the bends.in a full system, the piping is mandrel bent. while with custom piping, u get crush bent...with crush bent, u get a lil more restriction, but it doesnt really matter THAT much, unless your running turbo or s/c, etc...But it saves u ALOT of money, and also, u can get mandrel bends from the shop for about 15 bucks a bend i believe. i would stil go custom over buying a full system.

I got mine straight pipe done at a muffler shop in milpitas for 100 bucks, just in case if you wanna know...
