new "bay area law" ?
not sure if its only the bay area but the news cast reporter said "in the bay area" maybe could be a misunderstanding or maybe not. someone clearify...
i was watching channel 7 news eariler and heard theirs gonna be a new "law".
the new "law" (as of NBC channel 7 news) says you can get pulled over for not having your headlights on when its raining, regardless of which hour of the day. the saying goes "if your windshields wipers are on, your headlights should be on too".
what you guys thinks?

i ALWAYS keep my headlights on. even during the middle of the day, its just safer, it helps everyone see you better. don't want anyone merging into you.
next time you drive in the middle of the day, glance in your rear view mirror, if a car behind you has its headlights on i bet that car will be the first car you notice.

i usually leave my parking lights on when the day is still lit. im afriad a cop will get me for my HIDs since my other 2 buddies got fix-it tickets.
think parking lights and fog lights are good enough to caution other drivers?

if you dont turn on your headlights during rain. you're just being a pain in the *** and a hazard for everyone else on the road. if u get ticketted for that, you deserve it. so be smart and turn on the lights so people can see you on the road. its just common sense

[QUOTE=jackal903][QUOTE=jttegx]the saying goes "if your windshields wipers are on, your headlights should be on too".
i don't turn on the wiper on freeway cause i got Rain X on.
RainX works GREAT.
But yes, the law went into effect Jan 1st. I thought it was for all of Cali...
and yes, it should be obvious that you should have your lights on anyways when your wipers are on.

Turn on your headlights when weather conditions limit visibility to less than 1,000 feet or require the use of your windshield wipers. Using parking lights or day-running lights alone is not in compliance with the new law.
