Strange Noise.

I own a 2000 Civic SiR (em1). At low speeds/rpm and especially when turning, I am hearing a grinding noise that fades in and out from somewhere in the engine bay. I am not sure if the sound is always being made but I can only hear it when I am moving slowly. I will try and record the sound but until then, does anybody have a clue as to what it could be? It literally sounds like something in my engine bay breaking. It has a grinding/metal on metal sounds and a mix of other not so good sounds. Thanks

Jack up vehicle front end. Remove front wheels. Check following:
1) Look for branches or any debris that may be stuck under car
2) Check wheel bearings: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...-bearings.html or youtubes.
3) Stuck caliper : http://www.ehow.com/how_5068269_calipers-sticking.html or youtube
4) Worn outer CV axle joint: http://www.aa1car.com/library/cvjoint2.htm
5) Font Shocks/Springs: may be binding
