^^^ that post was pointless. Anyway...good purchase man...you should notice a marked improvment on stopping and fade resistance.

Are those Brembo blanks? I heard with a nice pad, those aren't bad for autocrossing.

If I ever replace my discs, I am gonna make sure they stay silver.

WTF is bendix and what is it for?

Hahah. Yeah, that Bendix is the brake pads. Bendix is a subsidiary of the brand Axxis which are commonly found from BMWs'. They're made from Australia. The ones I got are semi-metallic. I've had Bendix before, after my OEM brake pads, they lasted for a long tyme more than the OEM and stopped better. I ferget what kind of Bendix I had before, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the IQ. But anyway, after that, I got these brake pads called "Napa". So got it installed, and they were crap. Nothing compared to what I got. The stopping distance sucked, had to step on the brake a bit harder, then after a month they started wearing, I noticed my brakes were slipping, ahhh, horrorable. Reminds me of the tyme I got my Matrix coil-overs compared to what I have now, my Tiens'. Sometymes you just need to pay a weee bit more just to get the quality stuff.

I will be running Hawk pads (street/autocross). I might consider those Brembos as I've heard good things about them.

If not Hawk, then Porterfield.

Compare to what I had before (OEM rotors and generic brand brake pads), what I have now is far more superior than what I had. Braking is smoother and better response. I highly recommend it!

It's really not that special. I once read that Brembo blanks are not genuine Brembo parts, some company just stamped Brembo on them. However they are good discs regardless.

Brembo's full brake kits... the ones that retail for over $1,000 n ****... now those are MAD TYTE. I have to look through their application guide to see if they have brakes for our cars now. I used to look a few years ago and they didn't have any.

Wow... they're out...

Their top of the line Gran Turismo brakes are out for our cars (EX and Si only)... holy ****. Here's the DL.

1-piece slotted (315x28): 1A5.5001A - $1,295.00
1-piece drilled (315x28): 1A4.5001A - $1.295.00

Oh yeah...

Brembo blanks run cheap... around $40 a disc.

Deals on pads? Never seen any. I recommend:

Hawk Performance - PLUS High Performance Street PLUS Race Worthy Brake Pads
Porterfield R4-S Brake Pads

Porterfield would be the better pad. Both run roughly $70. They are street/autoxross brake pads that outperform stock.

I think Hawk also has some rear shoes for our cars but most of the brake distribution goes to the front.

They were probably the $50 entry model pads.
