FS: K20A2 with HASport Swap Stuff
Hey,
Im tryin to get rid of all my civic stuff because I am now the owner of a 2000 Jetta GLX VR6. So, I have a K20A2 with 7000 miles on it for sale. It comes with:
Motor
Tranny
HASport Motor Mounts
HASport Axles
AEM CAI
Neuspeed Short Shift Adapter
Shifter Assembly
Header
Downpipe with Cat
ECU
Wire Harness
PS Resivour with hoses
Misc. Hoses, and stuff.
This motor is basically ready to be dropped into your civic. There are a couple things that would need to be bought in order to complete the swap. You would need to find a subframe, and shifter cables. The subframe can be had at a junk yard for not very much, along with the shifter cables, or new from Acura ($$). I thought i would try to sell this here first as i hate to ship stuff, but i will if i absolutely have to. Everything was used for seriously 4 weeks. Everything is in like new condition.
Price. Let me brake it down for you.
Engine: $3800
HASport Mounts: $600
HASport Axles: $350
AEM CAI: $215
Neuspeed SS Adapter: $75
TOTAL: $5040
I am letting all this go for $4500. I am taking a pretty sizable hit on this to get it sold. Once it moves to the For Sale Forum, it will be priced higher. Please PM me with serious offers. I need this motor gone within a month at the most.
Any questions post them here, any offers to buy please make it via PM.
Thanks

Hey everyone,
Sorry ive been out and about for the past couple of days. Enjoying actually having torque in a car. My Jetta is a lot of fun.
Anyways, the motor i would like to sell as a package deal. If this doesnt work out, then i might consider parting out what i have for the K20 swap. I will keep people updated on that.
Bump, for a great price, on a great upgrade.
Thanks

AntDeezy stop lowballing. No one likes lowballers. This guy is trying to make a sale and its already cheap. If you can get it for 1500 then get it from your hookup fool! *SLAP*

Sorry Ant, $1500 is just a little under what I was thinking. Just take a loan out from a bank, then you could get it. Thats what I did to do the swap.
Anyways, parting out will be my last cry for help. Dont expect to see that soon.

How did i land with the Jetta? Well, I worked at a performance shop that mainly dealt with VW's. I worked the Honda/Acura side of things, but 80% of our customers were VW. Throughout the time that I worked there, and other times that i just go there to hang out with my buddies ive seen some amazing vw's come by. The looks, performance, everything. So I went to the local VW dealership to see what it was all about. The minute i sat in a new GTI i was in love with VW. Heated leather seats, great tranny feel, solid ride, quality looking exterior and interior, every option my dads $60K Lexus has and more. I was seriously blown away, I knew I had to have one right then. So I started looking around, and found that these cars with these options were actually in the price range that I was looking at. So, I made a few calls, checked out a few cars, then found the Jetta that i currently have. Its the top of the line Jetta. Its the GLX model with every option except the 6 disk CD changer. 3 set memory heated leather seats, black on black, manual tranny, low miles, sport steering wheel, no body damage, VR6...perfect. Thats about it, its been awsome so far, and I cant wait to see how its life is going to go. I know that just about every body kit out there for the Jetta just looks HOT, esspecially is you have big 18" wheels that fill out the wheel wells. So im pretty stoked on that, and the sound of a TechTonics exhaust on a VR6 is pure sex.
Anyways, I guess thats about it.

Speaking of GTI's, I saw the true ABD Silver GTI VR6 24V today at the local performance shop. The new owner lives in Monterey and was in town showing off his new toy. That car is sooo sick its stupid. Makes me really want to start modding out my Jetta.

Im kind of over the racing scene now, so a 1.8T just wasnt needed. 1.8T's are great if you are looking for high HP numbers. VR6's are nice for a more reliable, stable car. Plus, if I decide that I do want to go fast, I have a 2.8L V6 to Supercharge, or Turbocharge instead of the little 1.8L 4 banger. No replacement for displacement.

Do VW get good Power gains when you start adding performance parts? I like that 1.8T too. I heard it's much better than the regular base line golf. Anyways can't wait to hear how your projects goes.

Yea, the 1.8T gets great numbers from performance parts. Big numbers from chips, and of course turbo upgrades. APR makes a stage 3 turbo upgrade kit that make big poewr for the 1.8T motors. I have a video of a APR Stage 3 GTI racing a Stage 1 EVO8 on the freeway, and the GTI walks the EVO pretty easily.
The VR6 isnt so lucky unless FI is used.
I was just looks at the ECS stage 4 brake upgrade. It uses the 14" disc brakes and calipers off of a 993TT Porsche. Im thinkin about getting those, but I would have to get 18" wheels first for them to fit. As I say, Im really in it now for the looks. Maybe a Supercharger way down the line.
