DIY blackout headlights....

hey everyone,

i seen the blackout headlights for the rsx (DYI) and was wondering if they had the same for the 7th gen civics?

http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...threadid=79247

has anyone done this process before or know who has? cause i was thinking about buying some pair of OEM headlamps off eBay and do this procedure. any comments/questions/ideas?

-thanks,
Tommy

yeah we did it at tech day, its hella easy. Andrew and Walter (dizwikedcivic and xxdelerious247xx) are the pro's at it. It's basically like clearing headlights.

no the paint is not affected by the heat from the headlight. the "chrome" plastic part is seperate from the actual headlamp assembly. make sure you tape up the reflectors, so the light will still be visible.

i used duplicolor glossy black. it doesnt have to be a high heat paint. just make sure when you do it, you give it plenty of time to dry, or else the fumes from the paint will mess up the outer housing (cover).
