Chacho venting a lil...

So I go with my g/f to get an estimate on her car, cool, the total comes out to like $580 to repair. So we call the lady that hit her bumper and tell her and she starts talking about, no the bumper asn't that damaged, bla bla bla, and I was like WTF? She then says that she would get her own estimate and I was like <-- that cuz first of all, I don't want some freakin mexican dude named paco that works here illegally to be fixing the bumper when you can freakin tell it needs to be replaced and I don't feel like dealin with this lady any longer since she doens't know how much damage she really did and thinks she can shrug it off. So I figure I have to lay the smackdown on her but then I remember it's not my car and eventhough I do wish to help my g/f I decide to let her mom take care of it. I'll let you guys know what happen... but damn, what a bitch she was, Grrrrr <-- (me being mad)

Dude I got a little story!

not this last monday but the monday before I got hit. Nothing too bad the bumper needs to be painted and my rim repalced, and a 4 wheel allignment. i aclled insuracne the second I got to the office and put in a claim. The fatehr of the guy who hit me called me that night and to maek a long story short told me to take it to any body shop I want and get an estimate and he will pay cash if I drop the claim. All I had to do was sign a release (he was a lawyer) and he was very pleasant about it. Tell her that you'll call insurance and file a claim and it can be on her record and end up costing more for her in the long run if she doesn;t want to work with you. Remind her she was at fault and you are not and you have the right to take it anywhere...heck I'd get a couple estimates just for written backing....It could end up costing her thousands because you have up to a eyar I think to claim any injury unless otherwise noted (as in a release)...

I understand how you feel though. Mine was pretty expensive for a few deel gouges and skuffs...the rim itslef isn't too expensive....

If she does decide to pay make sure it is money order or cash...if not take a check and ehad right down to her bank with a few forms of ID and cash it in....but best to ask for cash or money order...even cashiers check will work...

Yeah I would threaten to file a claim and tell her that you and your girl would much rather deal with the insurance company than her. I'm sure she would be much more pleasant to deal with then.

dood that reminds me of my dad! last week i was at kaiser pickin' up some medicine with my dad driving and on the way out my dad stops at the stop sign, then BOOM! the lady in a m. couger hits him.. i was like wth? i was startled so i got outta the car and shouted, "are you a RETARD?!" did she not know there was a stop sign there? she looks at me like did i do something? then she turns around to notice her little "baby" crying from the accident. i look and her license plate is stamped on my dad WHITE accord. shiet damn lady!!! she's like i don't see anything.. i was like this is my license plate [and point to mine] and then point to hers [imprinted on the bumper] she refused to give us her information.. so i started to shout and ppple started to look.. so FINALLY she pulls out her ****.. n e who.. i told my dad to take it to a shop but he said no.. her plates are still there.. on the bumper of my dads car.. he just wanted to scare her by gettin' her info.. if i was him i would suck that bitch dry. it was a little accident tho, what pissed me off was how she could drive like that with a kid in the car!

Well, I think it was pretty nice of u and ur gf to want to let the lady pay for it without going to the insurance company. The lady's not very smart if she's acting this way; your gf should go to insurance if lady doesn't comply.
