wtb - a/c Control head??

wtb - a/c Control head?? I have a 2005 lx Special Edition.....my a/s stopped working, so i took it to an electrical a/c shop and they said i need a CONTROL HEAD??
Note sure exactly what it is but i need one!
HELP......single mom trying not to cook this summer.

um dont know what that means. what did they say was wrong, do the fans both turn on and can you hear the conpressor click when switching on the ac? they may have just meant you need a new temperature dial switch, which is part of the climate control unit together with the fan speed and position dials. usually $20-30 on ebay and easy to change. does the heat work?
