DC TCS Exhaust (It's a dumb question, but I have to ask)

What's up fellas?

Well I was wondering what would be a good price to buy this exhaust brand new?

Thanks for helping me out!

Peace out!

Cheapest I've seen is $500 new, if you can find it cheaper and go for it.

I know it's probably not something you want to hear, but in my opinion, the dc tcs exhaust is one of the worst exhausts you could possibly buy. Why?

- overpriced
- the looping piping/resonators in the muffler are very restrictive
- a very, very heavy exhaust
- many complaints about dc's products welds cracking
- the TCS was discontinued. see above.

ask dru106 ... he had one before.

for $500 you can get the RSR ex-mag ... one of the best exhaust systems out there.

Haha!!! Yes, thank you!! I use to have one and all i have to say is that they suck!!! Yes it was heavy and the muffler was kinda short so it melted my rear bumper. Like he said, stupid design ever!! I would rather go for a cheaper generic brand exhaust than the TCS. I recommend Megan

Cool, thanks for the input guys. I found a price for $400. But I need to do some more research on which is a better exhaust for our cars.

Thanks again!

i have no complaints about my tcs exhaust other than its heavy. but who the **** cares, im not racing or nothing so i dont need it light. i wasnt looking for horsepower or i would have gone turbo so restrictive, low horsepower gains, again who the **** cares. i looks nice (all u see is the tip) and it sounds nice, deep, not raspy, not loud at all (mine is a little louder now that i got header and megan downpipe). if u like the exhaust go for it. i got mine for like $600 the week it came out nearly 3 years ago, but u can find it for much cheeper now.

Ive had the DC TCS when it first came out. Not the best exhaust out there. After going through my hks, spoon and JIC exhuast DC really sucks. Just buy my JIC axleback. I can give you a good price. Very nice and light exhaust with a lovely sound. Here is the thread. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=217751

Do you mean "Don't expect power out of this DC TCS"? or "Don't expect power out of any full cat-back exhaust"?

the dc tcs was dynoed to give 1-2whp, which could just be error. I doubt it makes anything. I'll admit it sounds nice, thats about it. if you want power, go with skunk2. I have rsr and its awesome all around.

Yea, its not racing or whatever but its hella expensive and its not worth it!! Thats why dont get the DC if youre just all for sound. I would get a cheap generic one wit a nice tone like megans.........

I wouldny buy the dc tcs because its something different and I dont like it's new invention, plus the dual canistor type looks cheap.
