If they were chilling at a park in Downey then they were not strapped. Maybe had a shank but that is it. I'll give you advise and this is for everyone. I grew up around people like this in my neighborhood in Pico Rivera. If you talk to them and do it respectful and not with any attitude or challenge, also with confidence, then you will be alright. Trust me, they are looking for you to give them a reason to do something, or weakness to expose. Just talk to them and have a conversation, be confortable and you will be alright because then you show that you respect them and what they are and at the same time they have earned yours and for what you are.

No matter how bad azz someone thinks they are or how much they put up a front, respect will win out right when it comes to these types of people. It all comes down to respect.

nicely said, i wasnt rude to him at all. i just said sorry man, its not mine you could talk to my homie over there. and he was like aite homes, i see how this s*** is. thats the jist of what he said oh wells. i still go to the park but at night to play tennis. no ones there except for koreans playing tennis. for some reason all the public tennis courts in downey are taken over by koreans when the moon comes up
