hydroplaning
i love the rain!!!
but yestersday i was coming back from werk at 2:40 am on the 10 freeway, and it was pouring. my car kept shakin and jerkin to the sides. it was pretty fun at first then it started to scare me. i felt the tires loose traction ALOT. i was in fifth and if i pressed on the gas pedal my tires would spin to show my MPH at 135. and i was moving no faster than 65. it was crazy. so i just got off cuz my car wouldnt speed up anymore. everytime it would just super accelerate to 120 or so. i think i need new tires. it wasnt really hrdroplaning i guess but it was similar to it... i think the only thing that kept my car pointin forward was the fact that my rear tires had alot more tread suited for rain than the front...

What makes you think stock tires will be any better? I don't remember them being any better in the rain. You could always just try getting in the slow lane and going slower when it rains hard.

hit a big pudle once. went from 50 to 0 in like few seconds. seat belt prevented my face from pouring all over the windshield but sure knocked the wind outta me.
stock tires sucks hardcore dealing with water. I had so much problems with it that I invested in better tires.
got better all season high performance tires (Potenza RE950) rides fairly well on wet road. of course it wont be like on dry pavement but during light rain or wetness there's little difference between dry and wet performance.
everyone should throw away their stock firestones after its threads goes away.

either way i guess u got better ones. heh. although it really depends on which dunlop but yeah.

i was on the 91 heading west and i got caught in a shower.... i literally went like 50 mph because the back of my car was losing traction everytime i went over that...
lowered cars and low profile tires don't really work too well on puddle on the 91 freeway... scary..
