That box size is on the small side, and a negative of such a small box will be trying to build one out of wood...you may need to build a fiberglass box OR build a really small box and invert the sub.

Manufactures (sp) purposely reccomend these really small box sizes so that consumers will think that the sub will sound good in a small enclosure that will not take up too much space...in reality the sub would be better suited to a bigger box...Infinty ALWAYS gives recommended box sizes that are to small. I bet a 1 cubic foot box would sound great!!!

What type of music is that? Did you try to Model it out in WinISD, or another box building program? Why don't you just use a different Q setting so that you can use a bigger box? ...your prolly wasting your time looking for a .5 cubic foot box.

I have no idea...I would use the biggest box that the manufacturer recommends, or model it out on WinIsd. ...I have never used MTX subs.

...the reason why I am giving Civicracer my 2 cents for the Perfect is because I have the old Perfect 10's, and I know that the sizes Infinity lists are usually too small, and peaky...plus, you will get a lil more power and bottom end with a slighlty bigger box.

JDMVTECB20 is an unknown quantity at this point
.5^ft for the 10" does sound alittle small, especially if you build it, after displacement if it's .5cube you might be in trouble. If you're doing sealed .75cube after displacement would work fine.
ººIn a nut shell small box=small sound. You'll have decent SQ tho.

1^ft sealed chambers for the 8000s. They're meant for sealed enclosures.
