Autobacs ****in rocks.
i just wanted to share my experience with them, and definitely gotta say they're the best. the place is huge. it's basically like a grocery or something. or a target even. just walking down the rows, parts everywhere. it's a lot better than not being able to see what ur gonna buy or behind a counter. i went there to see their tires. i was planning to spend under $400 for tires and i ended up getting yokohama parada spec-2's. i have no idea how that came about, but it happened. haha. their pit stop is dope as hell and clean as ever too. autobacs just has parts galore all there for your picking. even if u aren't there to buy anything, it's cool just to check it out to see how nice the place is. and outside, they always have show cars sitting outside. and it's always different depending on the days you go. today, they had a some fixed up 2003 civic si, 2004 Tein WRX STI, the Clarion 350Z, and others i forgot about. oh, and most importantly, their service is A+. There are so many ppl there working, you're never short-handed of needing to ask someone a question. they also did a Great job on putting on my rims and tires. anyway, you have to check it out.

Rep Power: 345 yeah its retail price.
can't help it. retail store afterall. gotta make the dough and make up for the shelf space.
the tires seems like okay prices though.
I kept driving by it but never got a chance to check it out.
they had an ad in the newspaper, kinda like the ones Fry's have... and the prices made me puke... so...
but it'll be cool to just browse and take a look at products before u buy them online, I suppose.
its big, thats for sure.

Rep Power: 0 yeah, you guys are right. a lot of their stuff is really overpriced. but on some things, the price is ok or pretty reasonable. while on others it's just ridiculous or something. like the AEM big brake kit. i see that on ebay always going for like $200 to $250 or something. at autobacs its like $650. haha. but as for me, i got my tires there so...i dont know. i know i didnt save a bundle or anything but at the time, i called up several places including discount tire centers, american tire depots, and etc. and none of them had parada spec 2's in stock. while autobacs did. and the guy actually gave me a really good price on them. $105/tire. while discount tire center has them for $115 per. and on top of that, DTC didnt even have them in stock.
oh yeah, i also got free magazines, a "TUNERZ" RSX model car, a couple shirts by falken, a pen, a fan .. all thrown in just for getting some tires. lolll. hey, it was free.

Rep Power: 345 actually tirerack is cheap.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
$91 each.
although that doesn't include shipping.. which is usually around 25-50 bucks. so it really comes out even I suppose.
but how much was the install charge?
I got my tires at tirerack,a nd they shipped it to the center where I had my tires installed... New Century Tires.. the guys there are pretty cool, its also on Beach Blvd.. between Bolsa and McFadden cross section.

Rep Power: 336 I was gonna sell tires for autobacs but I have an internship to do in January for a computer systems tech position somewhere else and they said to give them a call after that (which means they weren't hiring me right then, but I basically already had the job) kinda far from me though. But by then I won't wanna sell tires anymore, I'm tired of rubber. I actually only wanted the employee discount. Those stores are huge though, even in japan they're bigger than that. It's the Home Depot of cars as they called it.
