Super Autobacs (anyone been there)
Super Autobacs (anyone been there)
Went there this past weekend to check it out. It was a pretty cool place, had a lot of things I've never seen before (HKS brand oil). But, prices are a bit expensive.
Cool thing about Autobacs is you can sit in aftermarket seats over there. They had Recaro, Bride, Tenzo-R, and others. They also have a large section for rims (you can lift them to see how light they are) and a big section for tires too.

yea autobacs is cool....I just wished they would have second-hand autobacs and some other autobacs specialty shops like they do in Japan. Anyone who lives in so-cal should go. Its what I would call a walmart of aftermarket jdm parts. We should have a meet there sometime.
The Autobacs here doesn't have that look of greatness like the one in Tokyo Bay does with its glass walls and huge signs. I passed by it multiple times without realizing it was Autobacs.
It would be cool to have a meet there since I work 5 minutes away from it.
But theres alot of ricers and haters there so I think it wouldn't be such a peaceful meet.

they price match though.
but its a retail front, so the prices are factored with that in mind.
and yeah its not as flashy as some other ones i've seen oversea... still cool though. they didnt pick a great locatino though IMO.

I agree that their audio dept was a bit overpriced, but all of those prices are MSRP prices. They do price match though. I was quoted for an Alpine 9815 HU, $400 at my local shop replacing my old alpine that was stolen. Autobacs had it for $500. I gave them a quoted piece of paper with the price i was offered and they matched with a 10% discount. I was happy with that, however my friend had some tv's and amp's installed by them and he has had nothing but complaint's about the install. He had wires hanging under the dash, seats and carpet cut then recut to run the wires through, and amps were connected poorly causing the music to be distorted. He was told the sound would go away when he drives the car home. I ended up fixing the setup for him. Very very poor job with installing audio visual equipment.
Bump...so what day do u guys want to set this meet for? Would love to see a turbo or K20 swap 7thgen at this meet. Would you guys be down for Friday/Saturday night or a Sunday noon time thing (i prefer this)
I want to go there I've actually driven there once but i think it was a holiday and they were closed way back when I had my civic so I would be down to go there and see what it's all about.
