I was reading sport compact car and I saw that an autobac opened in stanton, Ca, on August 28, just wondering if anyone has gone or what it was like? It looks really cool I think i might have to stop by on my way back to San Diego. I did a search but didnt see it if I missed it you can delete this.

one thing that everyone notes first about autobacs are their outrageous prices. but something i found out myself was, they will match prices. i suppose u just gotta talk to them, and to the right people, and they will look into matching or beating the competition's prices.
for example, i got my tires there a while ago. they had the yokohama parada spec-2's priced at $119.99 per tire. which is just an OK price. but after talking a lot, and well...basically lagging the deal and alotting lots of time to think and "wheel&deal", i got the price down to about $104 per tire. thats probably the best price u can find out there, at a normal retail place with GREAT service and warranty.
another great example is about me getting AEM brake pads. at most places, they sell'em for about 50-55 plus tax. so u're looking at about 57 out the door. well, i went to autobacs just to see, and saw them selling it for about $70 plus tax. i was like...oh ****, thats way too expensive. but i talked to the guy, and i asked him if they will match the price of another place. so i told him of another shop's price, and he's like..okay, one sec. he comes back and says he'll do it for 52 out the door. that's a great price! but then i just randomly asked the guy, if i could get my brake pads checked to see if they even need to be replaced. and he said they could do it, FOR FREE! so i pulled my car into the pit stop, it took about 30 min. and it was dope. i then found out that my brake pads were completely fine with tons of pad left.
thats the dope service autobacs will give you. anyway, for sure i will look to them for parts and see if they'll match or beat other ppl's prices. so they're pretty dope. im glad i live like 5 min from them.

Rep Power: 311 Autobacs is a nice, big store. You can find all kinds of stuff there.
It's like buying stuff from Nordstrom: it costs more, but you're paying for the buying experience also.

Rep Power: 279 I was there for that H-T meet awhile back. Nice place but would mind about the price. It cost to build such a grand place but still they can be flexible on price because they are a very big company and practically are all over Japan.
