Wooooo got my carbon fiber hood today, i can't wait to get the thing on the best part was the price, my gf bought it for me so it was free to me but she paid 1 dollar for it, plus 200 shipping with insurance and the total bill....201 i love ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT but there are no defects at all i looked for 30 min.
i might i'm gonna put it on tonight, or at least try to i've got that front end damage from my snow accident but the hood should bolt right on i had a little work done on it already, if u want call me tonight and u can head over, i moved though, i'm down at 35th ave and Bulter
hey, 4 bolts is a lot of work, i feel after i do all that work i'm entitled to at least 2-3 211s
I'd put hood pins on it. That thing will float like a motha on the freeway.
Sparco hood pins are the best.
i had them and it only took 3 screws for each pin to install.
Scary, but damn well worth it.

is the diy the best way to do it? and how much noramlly are they?
I got my pins for $50 i think a while back.
The DIY is to be careful when drilling.
Go from the smallest bit to the largest until you get the right screw size.

I'll prolly get some down the road, i read a couple forums sayying that if it has a clip u dont need pins, i just need to adjust the rubber bumpers, so i'm gonna try that and if it still floats, then i'll get pins
My hood does not move any reason why you guys have that problem cause mine is carbon and it does not move. Maybe i just got lucky
lol. it's not on issue of material, it's an issue of weight. If you get a good enough updraft, it could pull that latch right out of the carbon. How certain am I of the likelyhood of the happening? Not sure. Why? Cuz I never took the risk. Pins are simple and trustworthy.

My hood fits perfect and doesn't move really at all on the freeway. I think hood pins make it look tacky.Originally Posted by Rufus
