Remote Start

Do any of you guys have a remote start for a manual transmission? I just bought the compustar 2WSS-AS and compustar gave me the name and number to a guy in phoenix to install it. He is coming to my work to install it this friday cause he says it takes 6-8hrs to install. It sounds like a great alarm, cause its range is 1 1/4 mile, and i can roll the windows up and down, and turn on the radio, but the guy is charging $300 for installation. So with all the options i got, plus the alarm itself and installation its gonna be a little under $1000. Does that sound like a rip off for the compustar alarm, keep in mind it has the option to roll the windows up and down, he said most alarms cant do that. I dunno, tell me what you guys think. Thanks

300 isnt alot if hes a pro and you have a warranty. if its just some dude thats doing it as side work..call around to places like kustom kar sound and get labor quotes from a place that stands behind the work....be sure to bring an extra key and that you have a transponder unit.

No its a company called onsite car alarms, or somethin like that. I guess I'm not too worried about it cause the alarm has a lifetime warranty, and the company that is installing it gives a lifetime installation warranty.

I can roll mine up and down with a CrimeStopper. Just need a spare channel and a DEI 530T.
