I think I need some strut mounts. The shop who has had my car hasnt touched it. That had it since yesterday morning, was supposed to be ready by noon, and they havent freakin touched it. I am so damn pissed. So I think I need some strut mounts, and need to install these struts myself. Im going to get my car now. If they are not on by the weekend, does anybody want to help me. Ill get some beer, if somebody wants to show/teach/HELP me install them. I have tokicos/goldlines. The stupid shop said Friday, yeah, come in monday we can get it done. So I bring it, "Uh, we can get it done today or tomorrow." Its tomorrow, and they havent touched it. They said, "Why dont you come pick it up, and well call you when were ready." I have 2 kids I have to pick up from school everyday, and they have my car for no stupid reason. Yesterday I had to have my mom pick them up (which I dont want to do) I am so hella pissed today. Maybe even before the weekend if somebody has a day off and wants to work on it?? How much would strut mounts be by the way?

I can lend a hand. Generally available after 6pm and on the weekends. I have a jack, jackstands and about all the tools needed to do suspension work.

Why do you need strut mounts? Do you not have the stock ones that came with the car? Do you need the rubber isolator or the plastic deal with the studs out the top that bolts to the inside of the tower?

Ok, I got my stock struts off my car. So let me know when you want to get them. I have a question though. Is anybody running around -3 degree camber in the rear? My fronts are fine, but my rear's are pretty bad. How many miles would you guess my tired would last? they are in pretty good shape ?70% tread?

2.8 degrees of negative camber in the rear on my civic. It's been that way since early september and has had very little wear on the back tires.

Man I got like -6 and my tires are full of tread, 215-18-35. I've always had bad camber on mine and have never had a problem with tire wear, I guess you could say I'm lucky but I really should get a cambit kit even though it's not that big of a worry.

I also have an idea for a mod. Has anybody seen those stickers in the Escalades on the drivers side door? Its a picture of texas, and says, "Made in Texas by Texans". I want one that has a picture of Mexico and says, "Made in Mexico by Mexicans" Sorry, Ive been driving my dads escalade since he was out of town and I was without a car for a few days, and I thought that would be pimp.
