My friend Nick has a 2002 Eclipse RS, with no mods, but pedals. That'll give him about 30 hp (each one about 10). Anyways, he doesn't really want to race, but he told me that if he sees me at a stoplight he'll go for it. I'm going out of town this weekend with him and someone else and there is a very good chance I'll have the chance to race him. Do you guys think I have any chances?? His is a 5spd, just like mine, plus he knows how to drive really good. I'm also pretty good but he definately has more experience than me. I'm really sure he'll dust my a**, but I really want your opinion.

It would be a race, you may win, or he, it could be a drivers race .... There both 4 bangers so it a toss up ....

Right when the light turns green gun it and turn the wheel towards him. After you whack his car really good he'll stop to find out WTF your doing. Thats your cue to floor it. You'll get to the next light first garunteed.

If I remember right, the RS puts out a little more than our vics. Plus, I think their 5spd may be a little more aggressive than ours. Either way, I wanna know hwo it turns out.

I think that our cars would be able to beat them, given 1 or 2 bolt ons ... the '95 eclipse gs has a 9 sec. 0-60 time ... the newer models only have about 7 or so more hp ... but a little heavier

My buddy has an 02 eclipse gs auto. My 02 LX 5 speed takes it fairly easy and all I have is cat back exhaust, but I haven't had a chance to run a 5 speed eclipse.

Fine. I'll do it, and I'll try to keep you posted. Hopefully I can take him... but It's all good if I don't cause he's not the man to talk crap... I just ordered a new grille...(do you think that'll help?)

They put out 140HP stock because I almost got one but it would be a drivers race, they are not that fact, I drove one. I'd say you might be able to win.
