To get to might workplace I have to travel off road for about a mile. This is not a straight dirt road but one that curves left and right constantly. After rains down here the road gets really choppy and a steam roller is brought out to flatten the road back out.
Now the fun begins. I love driving the road after it has been "re-flattened". I can push my car around the turns and throw the lil' civic into a nice powerslide/drift (whatever you want to define it as)
hhhhhmmm.......its so much fun. I'll have to bring a camcorder with me next time to get it on video.
Anyone else got slding stories?

Yea, you should see Lansdowne parking lot here in Vancity after a fresh 10cm snow has fallen. The parking lot is FULL..literally FULL of people doing donuts and sliding all over the place.

Just a warning, If you are running stock wheels at stock pressure you are running the risk of having the tire come off the wheel. not as in "Krap I got a flat", but in "wow there goes my wheel" If you really want to do it, slid through the dirt that is, put the pressure up to 45 lbs.
Just a frendly warning form some one who has Rally crossed and seen it happen.

wow that would suck........that almost happened to me when used to have my sentra......I did a turn and my friend was watching fron the outside.......he said i was like turning on the rim almost.....
I've had my rotors reshaved consistently every 5,000 miles, i was hard on them when i first had my car, but i take it real easy now, and they still just keep warping. Not to mention the pads barely make it to 5,000 miles.
last friday me and my friend used my car to slide across some guys yard. pretty sweet even though my car is dirty. other than that there is this budweiser plant the we always go to to slide around in even if the ground is dry, big deal im rollin on firestones lol. about a month ago me and this girl were stond as a mother and i let her drive my car to practice doing it, then we switched places and she started screaming at the **** i did. once i did a 540 from going about 70 and then pulling the ebrake, the other time i did somewhat of a traditional drift by turning completely sideways and sliding. i wish i had a camera

Autocrossing sunday the track was not the cleanest surface... there was broken pavement and some dirt on it, it took a couple mustangs and camaros to kick that stuff up out of the cracks. That was pretty much the end of it for the rest of us... everyone was sliding and drifting through corners... I slid straight sideways through one corner. It wasn't fun while I was doing it because my times sucked, but now that I looked back, it was pretty cool.
on a rainy day, with four people in my car, i once was in a mood where i tried to skid around most corners by pulling my handbreak. we were going to a waffle house :-D wee!, and were on a road with two lanes and a middle lane. waffle house came up on the left and the driveway into it was smooth, the road was wet and i decided to speed up and pull my handbreak when the turn came. i was sliding real well and was perfectly perpendicular to the the road when i went into wafflehouses parking lot. it was hella fun, the two people in the backseat were falling all over each other(always wear a seatbelt). as i drove through waffle houses parking lot to find a spot to park in, i saw this drunk man jumping up and down in the entrance of the Whouse, he was paniking over me cauze apperently i must have scarred him by pulling in the lot like that.
.............................
seeing that drunk freak out like that was probably the best part about the whole thing, considering that sliding around turns like that isnt really good for your car :-D

I killed the ABS on my Brakes and added Brembos and AEM Pads. Other than drifting, what do you need me to do
. However I did drift slightly on an off ramp, by accident. My friend slowed really fast around the turn that i make everyday so i locked up and fished out the rear! It was cool (Butthead's voice). I love NO ABS. My wrangler didn't have it and i drove that for 5 yrs. I got my civic and was like HELL NAW! and killed it!
