Racing story hits close to home for me...... (a reminder to all)
I know that this is probably unexpected, coming from me, considering I'm such a street racer. But even this story makes me think twice.
It hit very close to home for me, as well as s2ki.com. Please read the story.

that really sucks, save it for the track for things like that, street racing really isn't a good thing at all, no matter what way you look at it, even though we all get tempted sometimes
this reminds me- I work in a photo lab, and ocassionally we get orders from county sherrif's deputies, whether it be crime scene photos, accident photos, whatever. Anyway, a few weeks ago, I literally got sick looking at what was on one of the memory cards they brought in......there were pictures of what looked like they used to be modded imports(one was an integra I know), but there was blood everywhere, and the worst part was seeing the driver of whatever the other car was - most of the body was on the steps of building, but an arm was hanging in a tree.
It was probably the most gruesome thing I've ever seen, simply because it was real.

it is insensitive. but then he/she brought on to themself. if ur going to street race at least scope out the area before. check for cops... blah blah... and it was in residential. who the hell would race in residential. in front of a church. im assuming the speed limit would be no more then 35...
again i repeat myself

Rather insensitive. You'd care if the driver was a friend of yours. Remember, that was someone's son/friend/brother......
Good point... seems like the guy cared more about the car than the person who died...
I feel sorry for the family memebers of these people. It must be hard for what they have to go though...
I have to agree with all the opinions I have seen here. i do feel sorry for the family, I don't care about the car, and the guy who got killed was responsible for his own death and I hope his friend pulls through. If his friend doe pull through I hope the friend can forgive the deceased driver for what he did. I do agree with the person who said it was the drivers fault though. The driver made a bad decision and unfortunately paid the ultimate price for it. Just reminds me to think about who I love and who loves me the next time some a$$hole pulls up looking for action thinking he is the Mario Andretti of the streets. It should make you all think the same way.

He has only himself to blame. He put other innocent lives at risk and his passenger.
No remorse for him, all I can say is if u're going THAT fast in a residental road (80Miles is like what.. 120KM?) that's
insane and pure stupidity. No common sense.
Sorry to the family, but .. sucks to be him.
