6th Gen sedan's fast?

I wasn't trying to race this ricer, but he insisted on letting me pass and then flying by after every light. Anyway, not to give this A-hole props or anything, but his 6th gen sedan seemed to pick up pretty good. He didn't look like the type for engine mods...he had fuggly a$$ chrome blades and wal-mart Altezzas. Exactly how fast are the old sedans? Anyone know....just for my own info. Thanx.

There's another post asking if 6th gens are faster than 7th gens, but since I'm lazy I'm not gonna find the link, and since I'm not an ***, I'm not going to tell you to search and I'm going to tell you exactlly what was said there. Stock 7th gens are slightly faster than stock 6th gens, as would be expected. 6th gens just have less environmental hardware, so they can be modded more.

My brother's girlfriend has an automatic 99 Civic Sedan... I have a 7th Gen Coupe, automatic. My bro takes her car out, and when I am out with my car, we always drag for laughs... except I win, all the time, by a large margin. both off the line, and on the highway.

That is all true, until...

I got my freakin' 17 rims. Now I lose.. and now... i even lose to my 3-speed corolla winterbeater.

I remember I used to see this 6th gen sedan fixed up frequently in Emeryville in a parking lot. It was painted electron blue pearl and had some DOHC VTEC stickers on it (with quite a few others). Putting a B engine in a 6th gen Civic... coupe or sedan is a no brainer though. Older cars are just easier to fix up, and though the 6th gen has only been here since 1996, there's been so much more available with the D16 than the D17. But stock vs stock, we win. So hopefully in good time our cars can be faster than theirs even with their modded D16.

i think d16's respond better to mods. i raced a 98 sedan with i/h/e with two girls as passenger. i was alone with an injen sri. he got on the throttle first and i was neck to neck with him. im pretty sure it wouldve beat me pretty bad if he didn't have those two girls. btw..we both are AUTOMATICS. lol
